Marijuana as a medicine should be treated as such by all employers in Michigan. No citizen should be discriminated against in housing, employment, or elsewhere in the public sphere for being a patient.
The attempt to shutter nearly all dispensaries and deny access to medical marijuana patients would never be attempted to patients of synthetic pharmaceuticals.
Marijuana should be legalized for recreational use, and taxed as a recreational purchase.
The age should be the same as alcohol, at 21 and provisions should be made in the law to allow for "coffee-shops" and eateries to be treated such as cigar and hookah bars.
The state should invest in new agriculture for the hemp plant upon legalization. Utilizing our agriculture space for a new crop with varying uses such as fiber for cloth products, oil for beauty products, a new potential source of concrete, and many other new industries that will drive additional new jobs and revenue.
